Downpipe BMW 535i xi F10/F11/F07/640i F12/F13/ X5 E70/ X6 E71 2014-16 with N55 motor. This straight-through tubing section replaces the heavy and restrictive OEM catalytic converter. This Downpipe only fits PWG wastegates.
- Straight-through design allows for maximum power and sound. Less back pressure improves turbo response and improves horsepower and torque significantly. Typical gains are 15-20 HP.
- Direct bolt-on replacement for OEM primary catalytic converter. We have left the catalytic style canister in place for possible addition of a sport cat cell model in the future.
- Less thermal load on the turbocharger.
- Reduces turbo lag
Please Note:
There are 2 types of wasted gates used on E and F models
•PWG - Pneumatic Wastegate
•EWG - Electronic Wastegate
Early model N55's feature the pneumatic wastegate (PWG) design. BMW introduced EWG on the N55 around July 2013. We believe ALL 2014+ N55's (less the X1) feature the electronic wastegate.
In general:
• 2011-2013 E + F Series N55 = PWG
• 2014+ F Series N55 = EWG
